Abstract

The article examines the narrative approach to teacher training recalling the interpretive turn in social sciences and the phenomenological method and it draws growing legitimacy of storytelling as a tool of qualitative empirical research. Studies are examined that conceptualized how the mind processes subjective experiences leading to an organization of experience in narrative plots, with a reference to Vygotskij’s interactive-constructionist approach and an analysis of the tool of narrative interview for the understanding of teaching from the point of view of the teacher.
