Abstract
The energy sector is a striking expression of the central role that solidarity plays in EU law. In their judgments in the OPAL pipeline case of 2019-2021, the EU Courts ruled that solidarity is a legally binding principle in EU energy law. Through the analysis of the main provisions of primary law, the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice and the recent legislation adopted to address the supply crisis following the war between Russia and Ukraine, this paper aims to illustrate the main features of the principle of energy solidarity in the different regulatory contexts in which it comes into play from time to time.File in questo prodotto:
