This study analyses the sources for the harvest planning procedures outlined in the law of 18th October 1819, issued by Ferdinand I of Bourbon, King of the Two Sicilies, and in that of 1st August 1826, issued by his son Francis I. Together with other forestry legislation for the protection of the Mediterranean forest passed by central and northern Italian states in pre-Unification Italy, these two Bourbon laws led to the development of harvest planning doctrine in Italy, even though they did contain contradictory proposals regarding the conservation of these forests.

Abstract
This study analyses the sources for the harvest planning procedures outlined in the law of 18th October 1819, issued by Ferdinand I of Bourbon, King of the Two Sicilies, and in that of 1st August 1826, issued by his son Francis I. Together with other forestry legislation for the protection of the Mediterranean forest passed by central and northern Italian states in pre-Unification Italy, these two Bourbon laws led to the development of harvest planning doctrine in Italy, even though they did contain contradictory proposals regarding the conservation of these forests.File in questo prodotto:
