This article presents a reasoned update of the catalogue of manuscript witnesses of the two pseudo-epigraphic epistles contained in Bernard Lambert’s volume, Bibliotheca Hieronymiana Manuscripta IIIb, no. 640, which are first attested as prefaces to the Martyrologium Hieronymianum. The purpose of this update is to show the autonomy of these texts since the earliest manuscript evidence, as well as their wide dissemination.
