The natural site called I Giganti della Sila (The Giants of Sila) is a monumental wood and a living testimony of one of the most ancient forests in Calabria, a southern Italian region. Since 2016, this special place has been managed by Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (FAI), an Italian non-profit environmental association, with the objective to protect this area representing the authentic Silan landscape that survived a postwar deforestation. The aim of this exploratory research is to understand not only the degree of visitors' interest in nature and nature experiences, and how it is changing after Covid-19, but also to know how these experiences influence visitors' wellbeing and satisfaction after visiting the park and the nature reserve.
