In 2021, the incidence of absolute poverty was higher among families with a greater number of members, while the most marked discomfort was found to be that for families with minor children. The incidence of poverty, on the other hand, is lower in families with at least one elderly person and is stable among couples in which the age of the reference person of the family is greater than 64 years (Istat, 2022). The theme of family poverty, therefore, represents today more than in the past one of the most urgent themes of pedagogical investigation because to the purely economic datum is added, in a very important way, also the social and educational one. The recent data on family poverty in Italy are presented according to a trend inversely proportional to the increase in people's age; Young couples, in fact, have less and less spending power, and the data affects family education by undermining relationships and relationships, both between spouses and between parents and children. This contribution tries to trace a useful path for the formation of new educational models in modern family contexts starting from the analysis of Istat 2022 data on the condition of Italian families.
Nel 2021, l’incidenza di povertà assoluta è risultata più elevata tra le famiglie con un maggior numero di componenti, mentre il disagio più marcato è risultato essere quello per le famiglie con figli minori. L’incidenza di povertà, invece, si presenta più bassa nelle famiglie con almeno un anziano e si conferma stabile tra le coppie in cui l’età della persona di riferimento della famiglia è superiore a 64 anni (Istat, 2022). Il tema della povertà familiare, quindi, rappresenta oggi più che in passato uno dei temi più urgenti di indagine pedagogica poiché al dato squisitamente economico si aggiunge, in modo assai rilevante, anche quello sociale e educativo. I recenti dati sulla povertà familiare in Italia si presentano secondo un andamento inversamente proporzionale rispetto all’aumento dell’età delle persone; le coppie giovani, infatti, hanno sempre meno capacità di spesa, e il dato si ripercuote sull’educazione familiare minando i rapporti e le relazioni, sia tra coniugi che tra genitori e figli. Il presente contributo prova a tracciare un percorso utile alla formazione di nuovi modelli educativi nei contesti familiari moderni a partire dall’analisi dei dati Istat 2022 sulla condizione delle famiglie italiane.
