Academic curricula design have been envisaging a growing interest towards the so-called ‘Wiki ecosystems’ to enhance students’ transversal skills. This paper describes a successful project called ‘Transl/Editathon@Uniba. A Wikivoyage to Puglia’ (at University of Bari, Italy) which provided students with specific training to use Wikivoyage and to write for and translate in a specific field (Tourism). The project had empirical and collaborative impacts in both full remote and blended environments.
