In this work the efficacy of the treatment of acute tenodesmic lesions using platelet rich plasma (PRP) and autologous mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) was studied in 17 thoroughbred racehorses. Here we describe and compare our results with data from literature concerning ultrasound controls, clinical results, the follow up, the recovery time to sport activities and the percentage of clinical success and reinjures.
