This period is about the great migratory in the Mediterranean Sea, the pastoral and social action of the Fathers of the Church recalls the challenge of dealing different kind of problems, from welcoming the least and foreigners to taking care of the other, according to the ideals of fraternity, justice and peace mentioned by Pope Francis. It is necessary an education path, an educational challenge to which the paideia of the Christian authors of the first centuries gives important elements of reflection, paradigms to look at for overcoming social, cultural and ethnic boundaries, which nowadays generate tensions, conflicts and social fear.
