The article aims to show that the theme of war elaborated by Foucault, which has not always received adequate critical attention, is actually of great importance not only within the author's production, but also in terms of its strategic potential. Foucauldian polemocritical analyses – which are fundamental to understand the formulation of the concept of biopolitics – can in fact be employed as a (strategic) response to the contemporary practical and discursive use of necropolitics. They allow for the delineation of a dual model of relationality against a binary model of totalizing and excluding unity.

Abstract
The article aims to show that the theme of war elaborated by Foucault, which has not always received adequate critical attention, is actually of great importance not only within the author's production, but also in terms of its strategic potential. Foucauldian polemocritical analyses – which are fundamental to understand the formulation of the concept of biopolitics – can in fact be employed as a (strategic) response to the contemporary practical and discursive use of necropolitics. They allow for the delineation of a dual model of relationality against a binary model of totalizing and excluding unity.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
