Understanding the stellar evolution and the origin of chemical elements are the main goals of Nuclear Astrophysics. In the last century, many collaborations worked to develop experiments and accelerators to study in Earth laboratories the main nuclear processes taking place in stars at their relevant temperature. As an example, we present the measurement of the 13C(α,n)16O reaction performed by the LUNA collaboration.

Abstract
Understanding the stellar evolution and the origin of chemical elements are the main goals of Nuclear Astrophysics. In the last century, many collaborations worked to develop experiments and accelerators to study in Earth laboratories the main nuclear processes taking place in stars at their relevant temperature. As an example, we present the measurement of the 13C(α,n)16O reaction performed by the LUNA collaboration.File in questo prodotto:
