A fragment of Marcianus’s Institutiones, which can be read in the Digest of Justinian (Dig. Abstract
A fragment of Marcianus’s Institutiones, which can be read in the Digest of Justinian (Dig. LXVIII 10, 1, 4), deals with a sentence imposed by Septimius Severus on an anonymous prefect of Egypt for committing a crime of forgery. The prefect has been dubiously identified in scholarly history with M. Ulpius Primianus (195-196 CE). A reappraisal of the sources could lead to consider also the name of his predecessor, L. Mantennius Sabinus (192- 194 CE).File in questo prodotto:
