This work aims to analyse the difference between media education and education through the media, while at the same time addressing some critical issues that are mainly related to the sensitive question of digital children. This is a much-debated issue and one that is difficult to interpret, because it is undergoing deep technological changes, whose extent and repercussions in education are still to be fully understood.
