Abstract
The cemetery of Lamapopoli constitutes an important piece for the reconstruction of Canusium in the late antique age when the town became the capital of the province of Apulia et Calabria from the second half of the fourth century. It acquired a role of primary importance in addition to the diocesan see, one of the oldest in the region. The exceptional presence of a historical and archaeological heritage of considerable value and a richness of landscape and nature, even more precious given its character of ‘urban green’, make this context unique in the regional panorama.File in questo prodotto:
