The current social, political and cultural landscape is characterized by complex scenarios that can be hard for pedagogists to interpret. However, one tendency has emerged clearly: the revival of ultra-nationalist and regionalist movements that are intent on restoring the concepts of nation and tradition in a purely “natural” and “ethnic” sense. These movements risk stirring up old and new dynamics of oppression and violence as methods of conflict resolution. This paper sets out to examine such issues in light of a new paideutic perspective, to re-establish the sense of living as a community with different philosophical and educational backgrounds. The aim is to reactivate an educational model of belonging to different communities (family, society, local communities, nation, world). This model must be rooted in culture and history, while being firmly anchored to the need to safeguard the individual’s role, identity and free will within a globalized, multicultural setting.

Abstract
This model must be rooted in culture and history, while being firmly anchored to the need to safeguard the individual’s role, identity and free will within a globalized, multicultural setting.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
