This research illustrates the multiple experiences adopted in museums and in the cultural world in the field of digital storytelling, to guide the future design of narrative digital solutions. It was aimed at providing a trace, as complete as possible, of the different solutions set in the field in this specific sector of communication, use and cultural accessibility, identifying and analyzing 14 types of digital storytelling: Oral, Written, Video, Visual, Animated, Interactive, Immersive, Social Media Storytelling, Participative, Generative, Geo-Storytelling, Multimedia Mobile Storytelling, Crossmedia and Transmediale. Finally, a new vision of museum is proposed which, starting from the antique and nineteenth-century vision of the collection museum comes to what has wanted to define a connection museum or connected narration.
