The study deals with the self-expressions of multilingual authors of different cultural origins who have been writing and publishing in the German-speaking world since the second half of the last century. The focus is on autobiographical essays, poetry lectures and conversation recordings in which they reflect on their relationship to their respective languages of origin, deal intensively with German as a foreign literary language and describe their self-image as authors.The self-reflections, which are documented by numerous quotations, also offer far-reaching insights into the ambivalent confrontation with their language identity. The study makes a contribution to illuminating individual multilingualism in relation to the development of creative writing processes.
Lo studio si occupa delle espressioni di sé di autori multilingue di diversa origine culturale che hanno scritto e pubblicato nel mondo di lingua tedesca a partire dalla seconda metà del secolo scorso. L'attenzione si concentra su saggi autobiografici, lezioni di poesia e registrazioni di conversazioni in cui riflettono sul loro rapporto con le rispettive lingue d'origine, affrontano intensamente il tedesco come lingua letteraria straniera e descrivono la loro immagine di autrici e autori. Le auto-riflessioni, documentate da numerose citazioni, offrono anche spunti di riflessione di ampio respiro sul confronto ambivalente con la propria identità linguistica. Lo studio contribuisce a illuminare il multilinguismo individuale in relazione allo sviluppo dei processi di scrittura creativa.
