The economic, ecological, political and social changes, including the ongoing war clashes, cross the digital reality and push us to reflect on the concept of democracy and on the citizen education between analog reality and virtual experience. The article describes a survey on the digital citizenship skills of Apulian secondary school students. The results underline the need of designing Digital Citizenship Education actions at school, combining the transmission of knowledge with the concrete experience of social values and (digital) virtues, useful elements for the future well-being of individuals and communities, real and virtual. In particular, active participation and critical thinking have to be experienced in the classroom through cooperative activities that emphasize the political weight of students' actions between real and virtual, educating to a responsible citizenship, within a democratic, peaceful and supportive reality.

Abstract
The economic, ecological, political and social changes, including the ongoing war clashes, cross the digital reality and push us to reflect on the concept of democracy and on the citizen education between analog reality and virtual experience. The article describes a survey on the digital citizenship skills of Apulian secondary school students. The results underline the need of designing Digital Citizenship Education actions at school, combining the transmission of knowledge with the concrete experience of social values and (digital) virtues, useful elements for the future well-being of individuals and communities, real and virtual. In particular, active participation and critical thinking have to be experienced in the classroom through cooperative activities that emphasize the political weight of students' actions between real and virtual, educating to a responsible citizenship, within a democratic, peaceful and supportive reality.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
