The paper seeks to emphasize the different approach of certain national supreme or constitutional courts in the most recent and relevant cases brought to their attention, in order to examine, in each of the jurisdictions under consideration, the role of the judiciary in climate change, the approach to the political nature of the issues and to the standing of the plaintiffs, and the effects of the decisions on climate policies and on future litigation.

Abstract
