This paper explores the connection between the concepts of “exception” and “normality” in Carl Schmitt’s legal and political thought. The relationship between normality and exception is always bi-directional. From exception to normality and vice versa: from normality into a legal discourse about exceptions. In these pages, I aim at investigating the birth, following the second direction of Schmitt's thought, of an "exceptional normality". A fundamental idea in the construction of the legal order in post-modern constitutional states.

Abstract
This paper explores the connection between the concepts of “exception” and “normality” in Carl Schmitt’s legal and political thought. The relationship between normality and exception is always bi-directional. From exception to normality and vice versa: from normality into a legal discourse about exceptions. In these pages, I aim at investigating the birth, following the second direction of Schmitt's thought, of an "exceptional normality". A fundamental idea in the construction of the legal order in post-modern constitutional states.File in questo prodotto:
