Nelle ferite del reale. Attività filosofica e riflessione estetica al tempo della pandemia

The coronavirus pandemic, in its shocking unpredictability, has not only changed the rhythm of our lives and affected most human activities, but has also conditioned and stimulated philosophical and, more specifically, aesthetic activity. There is a growing need to reflect philosophically on the various aspects of the crisis, its implications, but also the opportunity it may represent. In this paper, I will focus on a) the role that philosophy can play in the contemporary world, as a means of reading and analysing reality, and b) the centrality of the aesthetic dimension in everyday practice, necessarily conditioned by the restrictions tied to the control of the pandemic.

La crisi pandemica, nella sua sconvolgente imprevedibilità, non ha solo modificato il ritmo della nostra vita e di gran parte delle attività umane, ma ha anche condizionato e sollecitato l’attività filosofica e quella, più specifica, di carattere estetico. È progressivamente cresciuta l’esigenza di riflettere filosoficamente sui vari aspetti della crisi, sulle sue implicazioni, ma anche sull’opportunità che essa può rappresentare. In quest’articolo, concentrerò l’attenzione a) sul ruolo che la filosofia può avere nella contemporaneità, come strumento di lettura e d’analisi del reale, e b) sulla centralità della dimensione estetica nella prassi quotidiana, necessariamente condizionata dalle restrizioni legate al contenimento della pandemia.
