The famous dilemma of the railway exchange in its many variants, of which the best known is certainly the bridge dilemma, has been the subject of reflection by ethicists, psychologists, sociologists and neuroscientists. The introduction of driverless cars meets the difficulty of defining the “moral” algorithms that will guide such vehicles in situations of unavoidable harm, like the trolley problem. The question is: can we program an moral alghoritm? Can we define moral an alghoritm that decides who to kill or who to save? We will try to give an initial answer to these questions.

Abstract
The famous dilemma of the railway exchange in its many variants, of which the best known is certainly the bridge dilemma, has been the subject of reflection by ethicists, psychologists, sociologists and neuroscientists. The introduction of driverless cars meets the difficulty of defining the “moral” algorithms that will guide such vehicles in situations of unavoidable harm, like the trolley problem. The question is: can we program an moral alghoritm? Can we define moral an alghoritm that decides who to kill or who to save? We will try to give an initial answer to these questions.File in questo prodotto:
