In this paper, we focus our attention on the evaluation of the monetary appreciation that urban areas can experience as a consequence of rehabilitation actions, and depict an economic and urban experiment based on a particular area of the city of Bari, South Italy. The proposed approach demonstrates how public and private entities can work together in a profitable way and lead to strong positive social impacts. The evaluation procedure we propose can be replicated elsewhere by adapting the proposal to other specific territorial areas and considering the peculiarities of the case study we propose. In fact, although the case study depicted in this paper is circumscribed to a single urban area, the method is well detailed and easily adaptable to wider applications based on broader public/private consultation processes.

Abstract
In this paper, we focus our attention on the evaluation of the monetary appreciation that urban areas can experience as a consequence of rehabilitation actions, and depict an economic and urban experiment based on a particular area of the city of Bari, South Italy. The proposed approach demonstrates how public and private entities can work together in a profitable way and lead to strong positive social impacts. The evaluation procedure we propose can be replicated elsewhere by adapting the proposal to other specific territorial areas and considering the peculiarities of the case study we propose. In fact, although the case study depicted in this paper is circumscribed to a single urban area, the method is well detailed and easily adaptable to wider applications based on broader public/private consultation processes.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
