In this article I will try to illustrate how semiotics and dialectics can converge towards a common analysis of the cognitive process. I will consider the dialectical theory of Ernst Bloch (1885-1977), and his “gnosiological” reading of the First Thesis on Feuerbach. Starting from this analysis, I will outline a connection between work and cognitive process. In this regard, I will consider Charles Sanders Peirce’s (1839-1914) semiotics as my theoretical point of reference. By developing a dialogue between Bloch and Peirce, I intend to show how the semiotic-interpretative process includes the body-gestural dimension, becoming a process of attribution of qualities or properties. Furthermore, I will analyse the theory of alienation as structured by Ferruccio Rossi-Landi (1921- 1985); more specifically, I will explain why Rossi-Landi considers alienation as the result of certain dysfunctions connected with the semiotic process of properties attribution. To conclude, rereading Rossi-Landi’s theses in the light of Algirdas J. Greimas' (1917-1992) theory, I will try to frame in a semiotic perspective a particular dysfunction of the process of property attribution: the fetish character of the commodity

Abstract
Greimas' (1917-1992) theory, I will try to frame in a semiotic perspective a particular dysfunction of the process of property attribution: the fetish character of the commodityI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
