The article aims to retrace some recent debates on sociality, which follow the “ontological turnµ in anthropological theory. If, in the tradition of the social sciences, the notion of sociality rested on the fundamental nature/culture opposition, the comparison with non-naturalistic ontologies (where the opposition is not relevant) calls for a deep rethinking. What are the limits of sociality? Is it possible to rethink sociality extending the notion of person towards the non-human? What are the ethical and political consequences?
