On the basis of some strategies and processes of the manipulatory political discourse (CHARAUDEAU 2006 ; 2011 ; 2019 ; 2020), which will be applied to simple future in its temporal and predictive values, this research intends to identify the positioning of the speaker in his/her enunciative act and its consequences for the target audience in Le Livre noir du coronavirus. Du fiasco à l’abîme (July, 2020). The analysis will show that verbal tenses may strengthen Rassemblement national‘s manipulatory strategies in order to direct readership/ electorship towards “its” truth.
