Abstract

In Seneca’s Fedra, associating Theseus with the noverca would determine an attraction to the sphere of wildness. Particularly, the representation of the father responsable of his own similis’ death, appears as a further example of the original reutilisation in Senecan’s work of the topical comparison with wild animals to condemn the unnatural killing of the fellow citizens and blood relatives.
