With this essay we want to take into consideration the central role of the school in the unitary and integral development of the child’s personality. The educational institution is seen not only as a place of real life experience, but also of civic training and therefore as an educational, relational, affective-emotional, as well as cognitive context. Pedagogy, as a science of formation and transformation, has the task of educating to democratic coexistence and a planetary, active and responsible citizenship, for the acquisition of a correct and ethical relationship with nature and for a just protection of creation.

Abstract
