Since its advent, Corpus-based Translation Studies has amply demonstrated that one of its strengths is the capacity to continually adapting to modern technologies to the discipline's ever-changing needs and goals in line with socio-cultural changes and the demands of the job market worldwide. This introductory presents the papers selected for the special issue of Translation Quarterly on "Recent Advances in Corpus-based Translation Studies" and argues that they yield new insights into corpus-based approaches to the study of translation in the 21st century.
