Historical centres between specificity and changing process The Italian debate on historical centers, characterized for a long time by a karst trend, has often been lacking both in terms of recognizing their specificity and in terms of a process analysis of their characteristics. The starting point is to recognize them as integral parts of the city but, at the same time, as parts characterized by completely peculiar features. Sometimes historical centers are considered a resource for the city in terms of social and economic development, other times an issue that requires intervention strategies. The author proposes a reflection that moves from the peculiarities of each reality, to connect them to a typological proposal focused on the change processes affecting historic centers. This perspective of analysis allows and paves the way for planning interventions of urban regeneration policies

Abstract
This perspective of analysis allows and paves the way for planning interventions of urban regeneration policiesI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
