Abstract
Literary, papyrological and epigraphical evidence show that the archetypal model of the book catalogues goes back to Callimachus' Pinakes. The study of their extant fragments, as well as of other literary, papyrological and epigraphical sources, introduces us into the world of ancient books and libraries, as well as their cataloguing methods. The surviving fragments of Callimachus' Pinakes represent a useful landmark to track down some typical elements of this literary genre in a few papyrological sources.File in questo prodotto:
