Il concetto si trasforma e diventa un'idea quando la traccia della storia si addentra nel destino umano prevaricando il suo credo interiore ed esopendo un modello politico e giuridico come l'ara sacrificale e il totem da adorare. La struttura razionale del reale viene sconvolta, così che la realtà si traduce in un'idolatria dell'idea stessa, cioè nell'ideologia che sostituisce la presenza di Dio nell'uomo con il controllo del potere politico, al quale l'uomo della Rivoluzione francese e poi della Rivoluzione russa del 1917 si sottomette, offrendosi interamente e spogliandosi di tutta la sua umanità: L'ideologia obbliga una credenza storica che cancella tutta l'umanità offrendo un surrogato di Dio, cioè l'ideologia rivoluzionaria e lo Stato, che soggiogherà l'uomo e lo imprigionerà in un'eterna rieducazione e in uno stretto controllo capillare di tutta la sua espressione e libertà
