The essay analyzes the influence that had the American constitutional experience of the Seventies of the Eighteenth century on the French postrevolutionary constitutionalism and on the Italian States of the so-called Jacobin period. In particular is emphasized the incidence of the constitution of Philadelphia in 1776 on the constitution of Naples in 1799, that provided the original institution of the Ephorate to guarantee the balance of power and Council of Censors would have the task of preserving and protecting public education.
