From the results of the application of the STeMA econometric model, in Puglia, the probably results are far from matching the positive impacts hoped. Considering the region, different, complex and articulated situations were found that require targeted interventions. In fact, the growing economic polarisation of the metropolitan area not only does not seem able to reduce the historical weakness of some areas of the region, but risks perpetuating historical territorial imbalances or even creating new ones, without adequate recognition of the role that, in particular, the generative components play.
