The paper analyzes the two senatus consulta passed in 189 and 188 on the Campani, by reconstructing the context in which these two decrees were approved. Thanks to these senatus consulta, the Campani were individually reintegrated into roman citizenship, as cives sine suffragio, thus enjoying the benefits connected to the status personae. The regime of iustae nuptiae was also extended to marriages prior to 189, so that the children born in those circumstances could also be legitimate as roman citizens.

Abstract
The paper analyzes the two senatus consulta passed in 189 and 188 on the Campani, by reconstructing the context in which these two decrees were approved. Thanks to these senatus consulta, the Campani were individually reintegrated into roman citizenship, as cives sine suffragio, thus enjoying the benefits connected to the status personae. The regime of iustae nuptiae was also extended to marriages prior to 189, so that the children born in those circumstances could also be legitimate as roman citizens.File in questo prodotto:
