Speaking of Europe also means thinking about the European Union as a transnational community of Western European nations in a common socio-economic and political-institutional. The European Union was founded in the early '50s with 15 members, but in the years ahead encompasses other countries and now expanding to the area of Central and Eastern Europe, as to be not a sum of its parts, but a combination of uniformity and diversity of the countries composing. The population of the member countries, however, still feel this feeling of "brotherhood" in Europe, due to the aggravation of social problems in each state, so to recover the sense of European integration is necessary to deal with these problems, such as unemployment and immigration.
