In the wake of a correspondence dated 1977-1988, this contribution focuses on retracing the relationship between Leonardo Sciascia and the journal «Belfagor», founded by Luigi Russo and managed by his son Carlo Ferdinando Russo after 1961. Indeed, the relationship between the writer and Russo Jr. dated back to 1943-44 and to the unrealised project of a translation of Lady Chatterley by D.H. Lawrence. However, their correspondence became more intense on a human and editorial level together with the invitation for Sciascia to collaborate on the series of ethical-political selfportraits Minima personalia published on «Belfagor» in 1984.
