As regards the constitutional revision, this Legislature seems to be characterized by specific proposals for action. This paper examines the changes proposed in relation to the electoral base of the Senate and to the constituency of the President of the Republic in case the "cut" of the parliamentarians comes into force. Both proposals show lack of attention to the reasons for autonomy. Moreover, one appears unsuitable to achieve the aims outlined by the proposers, while the other appears to conflict with the path that would seem more constitutionally appropriate. In the light of the above, it results that the constitutional revision should be handled with a higher level of caution.

Abstract
As regards the constitutional revision, this Legislature seems to be characterized by specific proposals for action. This paper examines the changes proposed in relation to the electoral base of the Senate and to the constituency of the President of the Republic in case the "cut" of the parliamentarians comes into force. Both proposals show lack of attention to the reasons for autonomy. Moreover, one appears unsuitable to achieve the aims outlined by the proposers, while the other appears to conflict with the path that would seem more constitutionally appropriate. In the light of the above, it results that the constitutional revision should be handled with a higher level of caution.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
