Abstract

the article describes the construction of fear of the other in some US political and geopolitical literature, from Samuel P. Huntington to F, Fukuyama. It explores the theory of civilisation by Huntington and the theory of the end of ideologies by Fukuyama, that are normally juxtapposed to each other. In this essay I show that they have strikingly many common points and are both the products of a neocons counter-revolution that emerged in USA after the 60ies.
