Abstract Luminal tubular measurements are executed in testis with normal spermatogenesis to individuate, by computerized morphometric method, the ratio between these two values. Statistical evaluations and calculation of the regression curves demonstrate that this ratio is well described by means of an exponential equation which coefficients are determined. This parameter results very useful in the diagnosis of Sertoli cell only syndrome and maturation arrest both characterized by tubular lumen modification.
