Abstract

At the time of COVID19 pandemic, some healthcare workers (HCWs), directly involved in the assistance of infectious patients, chose a temporary separation from their family, to protect their parents or children from the epidemic risk. Such separation can very difficult and expensive. In China, some hospitals provided such facilities, which included provision of food and daily living supplies, and help for staff to video record their routines in the hospital to share with their families to alleviate family members' concerns. We describe our experience of providing a similar facility in southern Italy.
