The authors present the results of a survey on the activities undertaken in the university training in aa.aa. 2009/2010, 2010/2011, Facoltà di Scienze della Formazione dell'Università degli Studi di Bari. Research has underlined that the training college has an explicit structure, governed by the rules (Article 18 of Law 24 June 1997, n. 196) and a latent structure that emerges by means of the use of writing devices in research. The results underline demonstrate two critical areas: the difficult communication between mentors and trainees and the inadequate involvement of students in practical activities. The course reveals the importance of writing as a way to shed light on the latent dimensions of university training and data.
