The article compares selected passages from the British nineteenth century novel Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte Brontë, and their Italian version in seven different translations. In particular, it looks at one moment in the novel where the seven Italian translations vary widely, and another (from right at the end of the book) where they stick close together.
