Le trasformazioni dell’odierna civiltà occidentale hanno generato mutamenti nell’istituto della famiglia e nella vita del nucleo familiare. Il rallentamento della crescita della popolazione, l’aumento dell’inflazione e la riduzione degli investimenti con effetti negativi sull’occupazione sono tutti fenomeni indicativi di una crisi che ha comportato un significativo mutamento del contesto economico e sociale. A questo si associa anche un mutamento del contesto socio-demografico rappresentato da un affievolimento del concetto di vincolo matrimoniale, da una persistente precarietà in ogni ambito e soprattutto in quello lavorativo, dal mutato ruolo della donna, non più in ambito domestico e con ruoli sempre più importanti. A fronte di tali contesti, questo contributo si pone l’obiettivo di analizzare le conseguenze del crescente sviluppo dell’individualismo nelle dinamiche di formazione di una coppia destinata a formare un nucleo familiare, esaminando le criticità del crescente affermarsi di coppie “aggregative” piuttosto che “generative”. The transformations of the current Western civilization generate changes in the institution of the family and in the life of the family unit. The slowdown in population growth, the increase in inflation and the reduction in investments with negative effects on employment are all phenomena indicative of a crisis that has led to a meaningful change in the economic and social context. This is also associated with a change in the socio-demographic context represented by a weakening of the concept of the marriage bond, by a persistent precariousness in all spheres and especially in workplace, by the changed role of women, no longer in domestic environment and with positions more and more important. With respect of these contexts, this contribution aims to observe the consequences of the growing development of individualism in the dynamics of formation of a couple destined to form a family unit, looking at the issues related to the increasing spread of “aggregative” rather than “generative” couples
