This contribution aims to provide a general overview of the industrial district models and more specifically of the South and, later, an analysis of the prospects of success in the medium to long term of the so-called Local Tourist Systems (STL). This paper will start from the empirical theories and simultaneously we will use methodological instruments of economic and corporate nature, to assess the viability of industrial models and tourist districts in the Southern Italy. It will proceed by analyzing the area with geo-economic approach, to highlight the socio-cultural milieu within which to prove such district operating models. The goal is to understand the approach taken by the districts of the South and the possible measures that can be activated for a renewed integration between local development and the green economy - under renovation. In conclusion, It is evident that, so It raises the economy of a territory, you requalifying regional area and ensure environmental sustainability in the long term, the district models should not be separated from an integrated program with reality and a reference subordination to the strategic framework of the actions and policies of the green, because you work with innovation in projects, processes and relationships, is combined by an environment-development-tourism, in one side and will build networks and relationships (public and private) interregional cooperative and integrated, on the other.

Abstract
Industrial Districts and Tourist Districts: an Integrated and Sustainable Development Model in Southern Italy. With this paper, related of the strand of research “The constraints to the development and the endogenous potential of the economy and society of the Southern in both the national and international competitive context”, we want to provide a systemic reflection on the district models, highlighting the central role in local governance, on one side; and the induced effects from the strategic management of the relationship between public and private stakeholders, on the other. In conclusion, It is evident that, so It raises the economy of a territory, you requalifying regional area and ensure environmental sustainability in the long term, the district models should not be separated from an integrated program with reality and a reference subordination to the strategic framework of the actions and policies of the green, because you work with innovation in projects, processes and relationships, is combined by an environment-development-tourism, in one side and will build networks and relationships (public and private) interregional cooperative and integrated, on the other.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
