New educational perspectives in Albania during the 20th century: The activity of Parashqevi Qiriazi.

We know how important the education to the evolution of a country is; the right to education is the main tool to spread the culture in civilized countries and also the main means for personal fulfillment. Study, in fact, means to organize information so that each one’s personality may become more developed; and women, in Albania, have had to suffer a lot in order to achieve such a goal. The aim of this article is to highlight the educational prospects of women in Albania during the 20th century, paying particular attention to the work of Parashqevi Qiriazi, well-known Albanian teacher and writer. The curiosity is to understand how this land, so tied to tradition, has managed to overcome the cultural legacies reserved to the woman, by taking her into the society.
