The recent review of the italian securitisation law (Law 130 Vehicle) with the goal of supporting the non-performing loans disposal process allocated new powers to special purpose vehicle company. That is suitable to support the matching of supply with demand of distressed debts at higher (level of) price than that the hedge funds and investment banks could offer banks today. The new legal framework could incentivizies the securitization transactions that in Italy are regulated by rules more friendly to the special purpose vehicle than the american rules.
