This work arises from an experience of cooperation between I.I.S.S. “Galileo Ferraris” (Molfetta) and the University Department of Economics and Finance, as part of the PLS project of Statistics and the school programs of work-related learning (Alternanza Scuola Lavoro). The authors present a detailed analysis, highlighting, from the two different points of view of School and of University, the many strengths and the few weaknesses of the cooperation. It is advised : 1) to consider this experience an example of “good practice” by systematically employing workshop practice to support educational guidance of students of the last three years of Secondary School in order to make their choice of University studies a more conscious one ; 2) to consolidate, develop and systematise opportunities for the professional growth of Secondary School Teachers.
