Realitas obiectiva. Elaborazione e genesi di un concetto

Il volume si occupa della genesi della nozione cartesiana di realitas obiectiva nel quadro della riflessione scolastica e tardo scolastica. Le tradizioni particolarmente indagate sono quelle occamista e scotista, con particolare riferimento alla cosiddetta scuola dei Formalizantes o Formalistae. Il volume si concentra in particolare sugli scritti di Enrico di Gand, Giovanni Duns Scoto, Antoine Sirect, Antonio Trombetta, Giovanni Canonico, Pierre Tartaret, Martin Meurisse, Francisco Suárez. Il volume si presenta come una ricerca genealogica sul concetto di realtà dal XIII al XVI secolo.

This volume deals with the genesis of the Cartesian notion of realitas obiectiva within the framework of the scholastic and late-scholastic thought. The traditions particularly investigated are the Occamistic and Scotistic traditions, with a particular reference to the so-called School of Formalizantes or Formalistae. The volume focuses in particular on the writings of Henry of Ghent, John Duns Scotus, Antoine Sirect, Antonio Trombetta, John the Canon, Pierre Tartaret, Martin Meurisse, Francisco Suárez. The volume presents itself as genealogical research on the concept of reality from the 13th to the 16th century.
