Lost in space. Entretien avec Jeff Mills

Inspirer of a sound that passes through epochs and galaxies, Jeff Mills – born in Detroit in1963 – is the most influent exponent of techno music. Since the beginning of his first productions, he was interested in the metaphor of extraterrestrial journey to deconstruct the anthropocentric view of the evolution. His work adopts exploration in sound as a means to translate imaginary space visions. In the last decade he launched Cinemix, a project which uses machines, audio-video mixers, software and hardware to produce atmospheres with surgical precision and supercelestial scenarios by making techno live cinema.
